Overview
This two-day professional conference showcases innovative Instructional Design and Development (IDD) projects and eLearning design strategies. Sessions and demonstrations are presented by students, scholars, and professionals from a variety of contexts including corporate, industry, government, higher education, and others. Content includes hands-on learning experiences that can immediately be applied to improve job performance as well as specific examples of client-based projects for real-world application. This is a low-cost, high-value event that is rich in content and in meaningful networking with established leaders. The conference also serves as an annual orientation and professional networking event for UGA IDD students.

In the past eight years, the name Ron Price has become synonymous with these three words: “Great Articulate Training.”  Ron’s popularity as an instructor derives from his unique approach to delivering the message…with charming wit and real-world examples drawn from his over 30 years of experience in organizational and leadership development, instructional design, business coaching, and experiential learning. Ron is often called upon to speak at industry conferences, workshops, and online forums. His pre-conference and certificate workshops play to standing room only crowds at conferences sponsored by the e-Learning Guild, ASTD, and Lingos.
As the Chief Learning Officer of Yukon Learning, the strategic training partner for Articulate, Ron works closely with the Articulate engineers and community team to design and develop the certified training programs for Articulate Studio and Storyline.  When he is not facilitating or designing e-Learning solutions for Yukon customers, he also oversees the certification process for Yukon Learning’s global training partners, including Omniplex (UK), bOnlineLearning (Australia), AFI International (China), eLearning Minds (Malaysia), Distrisoft (France), Interlake (Germany), Actua Solutions (Spain),  Partekk (Switzerland), Stratbeans (India), and Courseware (Netherlands).

Jan Melcher is Quick Start’s Director of Eastern Operations, providing leadership for Quick Start training projects throughout central and eastern Georgia. Quick Start is
Georgia’s top discretionary incentive for economic development and is recognized as the #1 workforce development program in the nation.
Recent clients of Ms. Melcher include Mitsubishi/Hitachi, Gulfstream Aerospace, Kumho Tire, Starbucks, JCB Americas and Alcoa/Firth Rixson Forgings. She supports regional partners such as local chambers of commerce, development authorities, state developers and technical colleges in business recruitment and retention. With experience spanning more than 25 years, she and her staff have served hundreds of Georgia businesses with customized training programs.

Bruce Batton is the Director of Northern Operations for the Technical College System of Georgia’s Quick Start Program. In this position, he oversees and directs all of Quick Start’s customized workforce training programs delivered to client companies located
in North Georgia, including the counties within the Metropolitan Atlanta area.
Bruce brings more than 30 years of extensive experience in technology,  management and training to this position. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from the University of Memphis and a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. His professional experience includes project and operations management with government-contracted advanced manufacturers in multiple locations, and responsibility
for operating budgets exceeding $24 million.
