Overview
This two-day professional conference showcases innovative Instructional Design and Development (IDD) projects and eLearning design strategies. Sessions and demonstrations are presented by students, scholars, and professionals from a variety of contexts including corporate, industry, government, higher education, and others. Content includes hands-on learning experiences that can immediately be applied to improve job performance as well as specific examples of client-based projects for real-world application. This is a low-cost, high-value event that is rich in content and in meaningful networking with established leaders. The conference also serves as an annual orientation and professional networking event for UGA IDD students.

Featured Speakers

Brad Hokanson, Professor, University of Minnesota


Brad Hokanson is Professor and Associate Dean for Research and Outreach in the College of Design at the University of Minnesota. He is also a Registered Architect in the State of Minnesota.

 

 

Jennifer Williams, Organizational Development Consultant, Global Technology Organization and Turner Enterprises;

Jennifer Williams joined Turner Broadcasting in 2014 as an Organizational Development Consultant and supports the organization’s Global Technology Division. She also works with the board of Turner Women Today to address Senior Leadership Development and Turner’s Diversity & Inclusion efforts. Prior to coming to Turner, she has served as an internal and external talent management, organizational development, and learning and development consultant to companies in telecommunications, government, insurance, and consumer packaged goods. Outside of Turner she has been a long time member of the Association for Talent Development – Atlanta Chapter and has served on the board in several capacities.

 

Stacey Rivers, Director of Technical Talent, Global Technology Organization

Stacey Young Rivers is the Director of Technology Skills Analysis & Development for Turner’s Global Technology & Operations Division. She is the architect and director of the Global Technology Internship Program which launched in the fall of 2015 with the Georgia Institute of Technology as its first strategic partner. Rivers earned a Master of Science in Management with a concentration in Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness from Troy University. She is a certified Human Capital Strategist and Strategic Workforce Planner, and a recipient of leadership awards from multiple organizations. She is the author of “50 Essential Tips to Getting & Keeping the ‘Right’ Job.”

 

Carolyn Dickerson, Instructional Designer, Turner Enterprises  

Carolyn Dickerson is an Instructional Designer with Turner’s People Development team. She has successfully led compliance, technology, diversity & inclusion, ecosystem, and on-boarding initiatives for new hires and new managers, and has steered enterprise-wide software implementation projects. Carolyn has worked with businesses that range from small, 12 employee enterprises to large, complex, global organizations. She holds an M.A. in Human Resource Development from Bowie State University, Bowie, MD.
